This is Mental Health Food’s self-esteem week. All week long I will blog about ways to build esteem in yourself and those you love, especially the children in your lives.

Last week while sitting in my supervisor’s office, I noticed a poster that said 101 Ways to Praise your child. What a great idea!

I want to challenge everyone to come up with 101 UNIQUE ways to praise your child by Friday. If you reply to this post with at least one unique way to praise along with your Twitter ID and a positive link, I will give you a Shout Out on Twitter.

Once you think some up, don’t forget to use them.

For more great ways to build self-esteem, visit Taquila Coleman and Stress Free Kids.

If you’re up for the challenge, I’ll get you started with the first 10:

1. Way to go!

2. You are super.

3. Good lookin’ out.

4. Awesome.

5. You are such a helper.

6. I couldn’t have done that without you.

7. What a great idea.

8. You are special.

9. Wonderful.

10. You are so much fun.

Self-esteem starts at home. Click the comments to send me your ways to praise. I will tweet any positive link you include if you also include your Twitter ID.

Let’s see if we can make 101 Ways to Praise by midnight Friday.
