If you’ve had a difficult year, don’t focus on what you HAD or what you DON’T HAVE, instead focus on what you HAVE and what you WILL HAVE in the future.
Better still, focus on what you can GIVE.
We all have love to give.
With the commercialization of the holidays, it is so easy to get caught up in the frenzy that we fail to keep things in perspective. We get distracted by the lights, decorations, trees, cards, gifts, and shopping that we forget what it is we are truly celebrating.
No matter what your faith, love is the mark of true success.
Love is the celebration, the rest is fluff.
For those of the Christian faith, Christmas day marks the commemoration of the birth of our Savior and the birth of our faith. Our faith is not based on material things, it is based on love.
Love is the only thing that is needed to make the celebration complete, not trees, presents, wrapping paper, cookies, lights, decorations.
Love shines brighter than any holiday light. It is taller than the tallest Christmas tree. It sounds sweeter than the most beautiful carol. It is warmer than the biggest Yule log. It is worth more that the most expensive gift.
If you have no packages to fill your arms this holiday, fill them with hugs from those you love. LOVE costs nothing to give and gives so much in return.
